Grant Writing Virtual Assistant (Project-Based / Part-Time)

Key Responsibilities

  • Research U.S. business grant opportunities based on each client’s industry, business needs, and eligibility criteria

  • Identify suitable funding opportunities and evaluate client qualifications

  • Write high-quality grant proposals, narratives, and application responses

  • Complete and submit grant applications accurately and within required deadlines

  • Manage grant timelines, project milestones, and submission schedules

  • Maintain organized documentation and records for assigned grant projects

  • Communicate clearly and consistently with clients throughout the grant application process

  • Provide updates on project progress, requirements, and next steps

  • Follow established workflows and assist with project organization using Asana

  • Take ownership of assigned grant projects and complete tasks with minimal supervision

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in grant writing, proposal writing, or grant application management

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. business grants and funding opportunities

  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to create compelling proposals

  • Strong research and analytical skills

  • Ability to understand different industries and tailor applications accordingly

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple projects independently

  • Experience using project management tools such as Asana is preferred

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote environment

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting U.S.-based businesses, startups, or entrepreneurs

  • Background in business funding, fundraising, nonprofit grants, or financial services

  • Familiarity with government, private, and corporate grant programs

  • Previous experience working as a Virtual Assistant or remote contractor

Technical Requirements

  • Reliable high-speed internet connection suitable for remote work

  • Primary computer/laptop capable of handling business applications, communication tools, and project management platforms

  • Backup device (laptop or computer) available in case of technical issues or emergencies to ensure business continuity

  • Functional headset with noise cancellation for virtual meetings and client communication

  • Working webcam for video meetings and collaboration

  • Stable power source and backup power solution (recommended) to minimize work interruptions

  • Ability to use productivity and collaboration tools such as:

    • Asana or similar project management platforms

    • Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive)

    • Microsoft Office applications

    • Communication tools such as Slack, Zoom, or similar platforms

  • Ability to securely handle confidential client information and business documents

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision
