Tony Ly’s entrepreneurial journey began from humble beginnings. In 1990, he arrived in the U.S. with his family of nine, facing the challenges of adapting to a new culture and learning a new language. His parents and older siblings sacrificed their education to make ends meet, and as the youngest in the family, Tony felt the responsibility to help build a brighter future for those he loved.

After high school, Tony pursued a degree in Computer Information Systems at a community college, but quickly realized that traditional education wasn’t the right fit. With his family still living paycheck to paycheck, Tony decided to leave college and enter the workforce, believing that a career in sales—particularly in the insurance industry—would provide the financial independence he sought.

Tony’s determination led him to quickly excel in insurance, seeing it as not just a business opportunity, but as a vital service that every American needed. His success in this field paved the way for him to diversify into a range of industries, including mortgage, construction, satellite, entertainment, restaurants, retail, pharmacy, and virtual assistance.

One of Tony’s most notable accomplishments was growing TMT Insurance Group into one of North America’s fastest-growing private companies. Under his leadership, TMT Insurance was recognized on the prestigious Inc. 5000 list for three consecutive years, a testament to Tony’s vision and leadership.

Today, Tony continues to invest in and build businesses across various sectors, including Avocado VA. His focus remains on creating financial independence for himself and his family, while helping others achieve the same through his companies.
