If you find yourself in this situation, here are some steps you can take to address the issue promptly and effectively:
- Reach out to your tutor: Start by sending a message to your tutor through Avocado VA Tutor website. They will receive a notification about your message and may respond promptly.
However, sometimes unforeseen circumstances can arise, and your tutor may have had an emergency. Give them 15-20 minutes to respond before exploring other options.
- Reschedule the lesson: If your tutor hasn’t responded within a reasonable timeframe, consider reaching out again to discuss rescheduling the lesson.
Tutors understand the importance of consistency in learning and are often willing to accommodate rescheduling requests.
- Transfer the funds to another tutor: If you’re unable to reach your tutor or if rescheduling isn’t possible, don’t worry – we’ve got you covered.
You have the option to transfer your prepaid credit to another tutor who can assist you with your learning goals. What if my student doesn’t suggest a new time for rescheduling?
We understand that students may not always respond quickly in these situations. If your student doesn’t suggest a new time for the lesson, we recommend that you:
- Reschedule the lesson for a date in the future
- Message your student to explain why you aren’t available.
- Give them options:
A. That they can reschedule the lesson again if the new time isn’t convenient
B. You may get another available tutor to teach them for the scheduled session.
C. They may cancel the appointment. - If the student chooses option B then you may contact the admin to reach out for the available tutors to cover your session.
